Designed Elite Daily’s new Apple News Article experiences from conception to visually align with ED’s other platforms. Worked closely with our development team to adapt all of our custom mobile web features (like “upfronts,” pull quotes, block quotes, an more) to function within the Apple News framework. This work required significant research into Apple’s Developer Guidelines to understand their fluid grid system and functional requirements. This redesign also allowed me to streamline ED’s brand by refining type styles and visual elements across all channels. We used this launch to implement a new core brand color and brand elements across Elite Daily’s suite of digital products. Apple News readership and CTR on push notifications for Elite Daily was well above the average for apple news publishers after the design was implemented.
